We are Treasure Seekers. This site tells a little about us. Sailor the cockateil on the lamp, actually lives next door to us in Clearwater with his pal, Morgan, a Parrot, and his mistress, Richard's sister, Carole.  Kitty the cat sleeping under the coffee table, is a California cat who belonged to Helen Talent, Kathleen's Sister. Later he flew to Chicago with his new owner, Kathleen, after Helen passed away.  Helen was married to a California Highway Patrolman and they lived in Long Beach. Kathleen was Richard's common law wife while she lived. She passed away on 26 Feburary 96.  Our sailboat, a 30' Lippincott, the " KATHLEEN", can be seen outside the window, is named in memory of Kathleen. The sailboat has been documented with the Coast Guard so as to keep her name in the Nation's history forever.  Kathy taught weaving, knitting, spinning, and jewelry making in Chicago and owned a shop at 2457 N. Lincoln, called FIBERWORKS.   She wanted to preserve those ancient arts so they would not be lost. When Kathleen passed away, Richard could not bear to live and work where every place he went reminded him of the woman he loved so dearly.  Richard now lives in Florida, the State he was born in.

There a year later,  his fourteen year partner on the Chicago Police Dept. advised him to look up a sister that lived nearby, Ellen.  He did and together they found that they were falling in love with each other and they have much in common, computers, and exploring.  They decided to get Married, and formed, Beauty & The Beast Treasure Seekers.  People interested in Sailing, Treasure Hunting etc. can click on the Florida link.   Visitors may email us at  or sign the guest book at the bottom of the page.   We plan to add stories that were written by Richard, while he was a Chicago Police Officer, working the streets in the Windy City, when time allows and the weather forces us to stay indoors for long enough.  There will be stories about TREASURE HUNTING also to read on this site.
